If you're using Gmail, you're trusting Google with your data, which is already such a terrible conflict of interest for Google that I can't imagine being surprised that they're training AI on your data too.

Opting out isn't going to do anything. Google will happily violate your privacy anyway and pay the fine ten years from now. They've done it before, and only a fool would think they won't do it again.

    To fully opt out, you must turn off Gmail’s “Smart features” in two separate locations in your settings. Don’t miss one, or AI training may continue.

    Step 1: Turn off Smart Features in Gmail, Chat, and Meet settings

    Step 2: Turn off Google Workspace Smart Features
