Yesterday we were listening to a recording of a public meeting we were both at (we work in government and were working on staff reports and minutes for the follow-up hearing), and I mentioned that I hated listening to myself speak, and we had basically this same exchange.

Poor worf. Doesn't even know he has a child then BAM, here's your child, the mother is dead and she taught your kid to not understand or value anything you valued. Not to mention the trauma of his mate being murdered. If that wasn't enough, people constantly pick on him for not pulling up his bootstraps and being the best parent ever.
