I made this planter (<- imgur gallery) to sell at a pair of craft fairs I'm attending this month and next. I needed something small enough I could fit a few of them on the 6 foot table. I can make them in any color but I love how the black and white turned out.

I would like to have one with a plant in it to showcase it on the table and was hoping you all would have some suggestions (this community always has great suggestions!)

It's about 4 inches tall and 6 inches wide.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Non-Amrrican here. This looks like a civil war era hat.

oh no! I was certainly not going for that! I'm not sure how to respond to that.

I think it's just a funny coincidence. Growing a plant in it will likely redeem it entirely.

Marrying your cousin is the correct response

Are the blocky corners on the outside intentional or did you forget to raise the polygon/vertex count?

On purpose.

Oh I like that idea. I've now made two of these.

Pinguicula?

My collection is pretty young tho. The live moss will overgrow the whole surface soon :)

When in doubt, succulents!

Yeah.... I already bought one. hahaha. Was hoping someone was more creative than me.

Very cool! Nice design. Do you sell the STL file too? I want to print one of these at like 250% scale.

Second comment, so I've been working on resizing it to 34ish cm diameter. Got it there though not optimized super well. It's going to use almost 1200g of filament over the two spools. Crazy.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

Wow! I have no idea how big cm are but that's a shit ton of plastic! What's your infill percentage look like on that one?

[-] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

10% infill and that's about 13" diameter. Going to need to order another pair of spools to make that one.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

Wow that is chonky. Good luck with your designs, friend.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

Thanks friend. Chonky is what I was going for.

I don't generally. Though I've released a few over the years. I am actually planning on making a 35cm diameter sized one. It's not parametric so it won't scale up nicely. I'll need to just remake it.
