I'll likely use the forum when Google searching questions. The jellyfin thread here in the fediverse is pretty good actually.

Not trolling at all, genuine question...what is jellyfin?

So for people who have the same obvious question as I did, Jellyfin appears to be software for self-hosting your own streaming service, so you can stream video or music or etc from your own computer to your other devices. Or so I gather from their main page.
