Upside potential is enormous. The US is flush with top tier researchers and quite a few of them are "DEI" or adjacent. Not to mention how many of them are terrified of a visit from the American Gestapo.

Too bad my grandfather had to renounce his Norwegian citizenship to become a US citizen in the 40's, otherwise I'd be eligible for dual citizenship and I could move back there with our family still there
