Tankies love Putin almost as much as they love China. Their excuse is that as an enemy of the US he can basically do nothing wrong, and they regurgitate his propaganda on a daily basis. Chapotraphouse is a bunch of tankies as tankie as the members of lemmygrad or lemmy.ml.

Nah the people on Hexbear believe a ton of what they say, I tried joining it years ago because of their conenction to Chapo Trap House, and got attacked for saying China is genociding Uyghurs and left with just about every other more "normal" socialist (Bernie sanders types). That was before Russia invaded Ukraine and I'm sure they think Putin is the best thing since sliced bread.
