The metal spikes are believed to give “structural support” to the nests, in some instances creating dome-like roofs

Stop teaching crows to use tools! Once they start doing agriculture we're fucked.

I am digging the bird strongholds though. Humans stopped making castles and I'm glad some other species stepped up.
