Darker and grittier can sometimes mean better.

I like almost everything except the writing.

Characters are cool (wish Master Chief had his helmet on), locations are decent to good, costume, set design, etc. It's all pretty great, but... Are they copying this writing from a 14 year old who's posting it on fan forums?
