This seems to apply only to Adblock and not UBlock, (I have both installed on chrome) and it only gets laggy with Adblock enabled 👀

uBlock Origin dev recently said the issue is specifically Adblock Plus 3.22 and AdBlock 5.17

Further down that thread he also calls this Tom's Hardware article a failure to properly investigate and inform people

It's bad practice to have more than one adblocker running, they can interfere with each other. Use only Ublock Origin.
