Looking at photos of their menu, they don't have a minimum gratuity specified. If this is a recurring issue, they should specify the expected gratuity on the menu.

Or even add it automatically for people, for your convenience a 18% gratuity will be added to all checks.

They are the business owner, they have full control of how these interactions go.

    "For your convenience"

    It's for their own convenience so they don't have to pay their employees proper wage and their employees don't have to pay taxes on all their income. The customer is getting ripped off.

    100% agreed. This just better ways for the business owner to tackle this issue, then trying to shame paying customers online.

    That's $120 of revenue right there, would the owner be happier without that revenue?
