For what it's worth, I purchased one of these in October, along with some Crucial RAM for my laptop, and my laptop now cannot achieve S3 suspend. I believe the issue is this drive, but I am on a trip without a screw driver, so I can't take it out and test.
Without reaching S3 suspend, my laptop goes from fully charged to dead in about 6 hours - I literally can't suspend it over night. I'm running Ubuntu, but I've tried with several distros (booting from live USB), and so far none reach S3.
I should have access to a screw driver, and be able to test some time in the next two weeks. I'll try to remember to update this when I do.
The drive has been great otherwise. I know people have commented about the lack of DRAM and potential performance hit, but performance has been great for me - I haven't noticed any difference relative to my more expensive Samsung drives. I'm a photographer, and copy 10s of gigabytes to the drive at a time, and it's handled that without issue.
EDIT:
I have confirmed the issue with this drive. My laptop cannot achieve s3idle with this drive in. It can with other drives, and can without any drive (booted from USB), but not with this drive. I've contacted Crucial support to see if it's a known issue, or if there's a problem with my drive. I'll report back if I hear anything.
