Second (non-FW) charger dead… Am I causing this? (alien.top)

So yesterday my Anker 100W charger died on the second use, so I bought another one, this time by Teknet (also 100W) which arrived today. Straight out of the box I plug it into my FW 13 and got nothing. Tried it on my phone, still nothing.

I made a post yesterday asking if I could use a 20W iPhone charger temporarily as long as I wasn’t using the laptop at the time. I’m doing that and it’s working, so I’m confident the laptop is ok.

Are chargers from Amazon just bad? Is this just a coincidence that I’ve had two broken ones so close together? Or is destiny trying to prevent me using my new laptop?

I can't see how a charger can fail because of what it's charging, especially if it has plenty of headroom (a Framework 13 is designed for a 65W charger). More likely to fail because it's either a lemon or the electrical outlet is bad in some way, so I call bad luck on the Anker and perhaps predictable luck on the rando brand.
