Ethernet or coaxial across high foot traffic floor (alien.top)

I want to run a cable across my living room floor but am unsure if a coaxial or flat ethernet cable would be best for being stepped on. I would be using a rubber cable protector.

As they said.

But use Ethernet for new network cabling. Coax is good if it is already installed in the walls, but not so good for new work.
