With 3rd party options battery replacement is there any restrictions applied to the laptop if not done by apple? Like on iPhone if you replace screen you loose True Tone. Anything like that I need to be aware of?

    Right out of the box I'm sure it'll look fine. The trouble comes months down the line when it begins to lose capacity much more quickly than an original battery would. Watch the capacity with a program like Coconut Battery and be careful that the warranty doesn't run out.

    Yea that’s was my plan, if it drops a silly amount in 9 months I’ll probs just get a refund and get apple to do it or something. Could get lucky and get a really good one so both ways kinda works out for me.
