For example, I have an e-bike that I want to take for a long ride to see how many miles I can go before the battery dies. But since this e-bike has a throttle and is not actually exercise, I don't want to log a cycling workout. I just want to know how far I traveled.

And if there's nothing like that on the watch, what about the iPhone?

You could always use the backtrack feature
