I have no problem hearing the new sound. I think it’s a much bigger deal that you can no longer choose ringtones for alert sounds or alert sounds for ringtones.

The biggest deal, at least for me, is that you can't have a "vibration only" alarm without having vibration enabled everywhere.

Imagine having your phone make noise in 2023.

I figure if I ever want to be beeped at all day, I’ll get a pager. They still sell those all over.
