Quick question here. I have been looking at apple watches on ebay and found one recently that says gsm only apple watch. Its a series 8 watch and I dont understand why it would be gsm only watch and not work with LTE. It says this watch will work with gsm carriers only. Is there something I am not getting.

There is no such thing as a GSM-only Apple Watch. Even the Series 3 used both GSM and LTE.

Also, GSM is an old 2G and 3G technology. Same for CDMA, though there was never a CDMA Apple Watch. LTE is a newer technology.
