  1. Profit.
  2. They can stick more phones per pallet when shipping, meaning less containers, and more profit.
  3. Do you really need a new charger and set of earphones every time you buy a phone? I'm still using the USB-C-to-lightning cable that came with my iPhone 11 Pro.
  4. It does reduce e-waste to a degree.
