I get there’s equity problems with skyways but doesn’t it seem a little reductive to say tear the motherfucker down and force people to walk in the cold streets? (hexbear.net)

You can walk around a whole city without stepping a foot outside so how is that not good urban planning?

The biggest equity problem with skyways is private ownership. If the skyways were municipal some of the biggest issues would go away. There is a bit of a problem with street life being kind of dead at the ground level, but I don't think that justifies ripping out skyways either.
