The fingerprint reader is fine, maybe marginally improved over the 7pro. It's nowhere near the ultrasonic fingerprint readers. Moved from a Z Fold 4 to an 8 pro - I've never ultrasonic, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. The real star of the show is the Level 3 Face Unlock.
