What's þe reference? I'm confused þat þey're not in 0g if þey're supposed to be in space, so I assume it's in reference to some sci-fi movie I haven't seen. I don't get þis one, in any case.

I think it's just a generic isolated crew of some sort. It reminds me a little of The Thing, but I think it's just playing off of the general movie trope.

It only works if you call them out on it. Just treat them like someone with a severe speech impediment in real life. Its annoying to listen to, its grating, but you just gotta get on with it.

Block them if its that big a deal to you.

Isn't that literally everyone who ever makes any comment?

Not this guy with his use of “th”. This is more attention seeking.

Just like you're seeking attention by calling it out? Some people are just interested in linguistics, God forbid people have fun being quirky. Who does it hurt?

It’s annoying and screws up screen readers.

    Ask me how I know.

As someone with a mild enthusiasm for linguistics and phonetics, I like it. My only complaint is not using eth too.

I can't imagine the inconvenience is much different than emojis or emoticons.

But in any case it seems more like a gimmick than an cry for attention, certainly not as much as a whole picture (invisible to screen readers I imagine) targeted at them in retaliation. I don't get the hate, and the "This person just wants attention!" Seems way more performative and attention seeking.

Got an image I can post that says “ignore this person’s gimmick”? Cause I’ll start using that instead.

Why would I have that? Other people's gimmicks are their own business and I have no interest in seeking attention myself by calling attention to them.

Meh, there are a lot more sci-fi movies that have ships with some kind of artificial gravity than don't, especially since it saves a large, expensive production headache. I don't feel it needs to be referencing a specific title.
