"In an interview with Fox News that aired Wednesday evening, Bezos told host Bret Baier he believes AI’s productivity gains could let some people decide, “I can support my family by working three days a week. He claimed families in two-earner households could decide they don’t need a second income and let one worker drop out. The billionaire didn’t offer any specifics on how this could happen."

Wow. That is some epic Marie-Antoinette level trolling. Though in fairness to Marie-Antoinette, she never actually said 'let them eat cake'; that slur had been used on others decades before her time as French Queen.

Talk about vibe-coding economics. Big Tech takes control of the US government, and then leads people to a glorious AI future, but can't "offer any specifics on how this could happen." No shit. Perhaps it's because you're simultaneously telling investors you'll be worth trillions because of all the human jobs you'll absorb.

I hope their security guards turn on them

This seems like the most natural inevitably. It will get to a point where their security details can basically extort whatever they want out of them. Sure they could try and hire another security detail... But what makes you think the current security detail will let that happen?

At a certain point they'll have the keys to the castle, and know all the secrets, at that point, they don't need the client. It's just an extra pain in the ass

I saw a short news blurb about a guy who made a billionaire bunker consulting business, and apparently controlling workers/security was top of mind for the bunker rats.

I remember one of the recommendations from the consultant was to house the security guys' families in a separate location. Dark shit

Ya I remember reading the same article. Stuff like biometrics and AI so if the billionaire stops checking in, atmos department stops working and stuff like that. If we are talking about it, they already have three separate solutions for it.
