Right now Let's Encrypt is a single point of failure, if I can setup my certs to go Let's Encrypt and then if Let's Encrypt is down go to Cloudflare, then surely that's better than not getting a cert at all when Let's Encrypt is down. It's more redundancy. Am I missing something? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 5 child comments replies: [+] Feyd@programming.dev 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] dev_null@lemmy.ml 1 point 1 week ago (1 child) Same here, and currently Let's Encrypt is a central point of failure for my stuff. I don't use any Cloudflare services, so adding it as a fallback for Let's Encrypt seems like a good option to have. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] leo@lemmy.linuxuserspace.show [S] 1 point 1 week ago As much as I don't want to see Cloudflare centralization, you're right here. As a fallback, it's nice to see. I just won't migrate my entire stack there. Job done ;) permalink fedilink source parent [–] gdbjr@piefed.social 2 points 1 week ago (1 child) You are ignoring the fact that zerossl exists. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] dev_null@lemmy.ml 1 point 1 week ago* Ohh, looks nice too.
