Anecdotal, sure, but each time I had a house of my own (3), I made it a point to help new families of marginalized communities by preferring to rent to them vs the privileged applicants, and for below market. My favorite contractor was their direct contact, and I maintained a 30x20 veggie garden out front for public enjoyment (mostly the household, but everyone was welcome), etc.

That said, I've only recently overcome houselessness for the second time in my life (never an addict, no legal troubles, et al, so be kind in your reflex), and have known real real life between those and beyond.

I'm one of you as y'all are one of me. We're all getting fucked by bigger leeches and they're pushing (y)our narrative.

Ask yourself: who profits from this perspective? 🥲
