I don't know. I'm in the older set, and I totally get why younger people are so pissed, not just because of the financial structure of social security, but because seniors are politically grubby ladder-pulling bastards.

    Yeah, but I do think that its worth remembering that just because anger is valid doesnt mean what you're angry at is the most productive thing to act angrily towards

    As a young person I do feel bitter towards older generations at times. But that doesnt make it the right target. It works to divide BECAUSE its a legitimate hurt

    You'd be surprised how many things I can be angry at simultaneously.

    Boomers don't get a free pass because there's something bigger for me to be angry at.

    My point isnt that you shouldn't be angry, its that thats not the most useful thing to *act* angry towards. Just because it makes sense to be angry about doesnt mean that thats a productive avenue towards change

    Thats not a place to direct anger that makes anything better. The feeling is justified, but it is also a very effective distraction
