Yup, 14 is the first in this series! It had a very slow burn into the weirdness of his world. The Fold knows that the reader is in on it even if the characters don't yet. I think that's a main reason I'm into it, but Clines also does a very good job at writing believable people which keeps it engaging.

Highly recommend Bennett's Ana and Din Mysteries. Super world, good mystery, and interesting characters. I've nearly finished his Foundryside series (2/3), and while neat, they aren't as strong in my opinion.
