Data sent by vehicles and companion apps included locations, VINs, and other identifiers. Amazon, Google, Meta, and Microsoft were among the top receivers of driver data.

One person's supposed convenience is another person's menace. That said, I'll take any vehicle that contains electronics only for the stereo, the ECU and electronic fuel injection.
