    So what? It is open source and you can self host it. I don't think open source software developed by Russian people is worse than open source software developed by Americans.

    I do. Open source software controlled by people in auth regimes isnt safe.

    I have a hard time assigning countries to open source projects since anyone can contribute. No idea whether the core devs are russian. Their online communication and documentation is completely in english and their domains are american.
