Haven't heard about the project but that matches what I was told.
Homebrew community had a single hypervisor vulnerability left to do whatever homebrewers do, and then some others found it (where ai was involved) and sold it to sony for 10 grand, so now homebrews days of accessing new ps5s are numbered (and I suppose they have to decide if they want to update and play new ps titles, or keep homebrewing), and homebrewers are pissed.
But also that's why this exploit was supposedly published, since now it doesn't matter anyway.
