Yeah, but it's better than being unable to own a house for a lot of people. It's absolutely not for me, I'm far more inclined towards a townhouse if possible, but I'm an engineer who wants to live in a more urban area.

Houses have gotten ludicrously expensive compared to what people can afford in America. This is partly because housing is seen as an investment and so any policy that reduces housing cost will take a good chunk out of the wealth of a large portion of the population.

But yeah the talks of extending home loans past 30 years is just egregious
