    There are people who think putting the cart back is some sort of character determining virtue signal so yeah, people are going to obsess about pretty much anything

    Not putting the cart back inconveniences other people. Listening to your phone in the shower, or not, hurts no one. Not the same level of "petty" issue at all. One is trying to make a simple part of society better and the other is deciding how others spend their time at home.
