There was a week during covid up here in Canada where even the main street was empty during "rush hour" and it was quiet like being in the forest. I remember thinking that this gives a chance for the earth to breathe for a bit and I swear I could feel it healing.

    When I lived in Taipei, Taiwan, there was a military exercise in that area with civilian curfew for a whole day. Finally the constant traffic roar went silent and I could keep my windows open and listen to birds and insects. A pleasant curfew.
