[meta] How do people feel about all the death posts? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

I feel like I've seen an uptick in articles posted here that are covering cyclists or pedestrians getting killed in car crashes. I understand that this community is centered around our hatred for cars but seeing a constant feed of deaths by cars isn't really what I want. I would prefer memes, discussions on how to improve things, and articles about policy etc instead of an endless stream of daily deaths.

How do you feel about these posts?

These posts are fine. Many people are murdered by people driving cars every day. This is important for a variety of reasons. Most importantly people need to be aware that their lives are at risk. Secondly we need to stop the cars.

It accomplishes nothing to pretend that people aren't being murdered. It doesn't help to turn your back and close your eyes.
