Meh, no one really gives a shit about McKinley or Garfield. I'd wager that a majority of Americans don't even know they were assassinated. Both Lincoln and Kennedy are famously connected to major advances in social progress, it makes sense people would hold them in higher regard than presidents that led less popularly-considered successful administrations.
