What price do you consider reasonable?

I had an apartment in Worthington meadows near the Polaris area that I considered reasonably priced, $1450 split between two people. The office changed hands several times and getting them to do any maintenance was a pain in the ass, but I never had bugs. Had some leaks, and some poorly insulated windows that I had to kinda seal off myself to keep the energy bill from going nuts. But the neighborhood was nice.

My roommates car was stolen once though. He didn't have an auto start and he left it running in the parking lot one cold morning to warm up and ran back inside to get his lunch for work. Some dickhole must have watched him because the moment he was back inside this guy jumped in his car and took off.

I also recall someone rummaging through my car when I left it unlocked one night. Never left anything worthwhile in my car so nothing was stolen though. Just a disheveled glovebox and middle compartment that needed to be put back. Never had issues if I kept my stuff locked though.

Checking for bugs is pretty easy though. Look where they like to be. Bring a flash light. Check in mattress seams, behind barely moved appliances, check in cupboards and under sinks, along the walls, and keep an eye out for bug poop or shed skin. Usually if you find a few, there's lots more you probably didn't see.

Also take notice of smells. If something smells off, it probably is. Could be mold, could be rot, could be bugs. Odd smells are a good warning sign.
