Actually the homework debate does have a simple answer, the older you get the less effective it is. Not to mention it was created as a punishment in like, 1097 or some shit.

You can cultivate attention to detail without killing someone's social skills.

yeah it depends on the quality of the homework and instruction generally.... but we dont' want to talk about that because that's difficult to turn into a number.

not to mention... some folks simple take forever to do homework and others don't based on intelligencet and study habits. I never had more than an hour or two of homework a night, and I was in advanced course of study. But i regretted in college... not having more/harder courses, but i went to a shitty school... so there was no option to have more rigorous courses.
