I read (or heard, in a podcast) something very similar a while ago, but the guy wasn't American.

What struck me was how unapologetic and open he was about the whole process.

Once again I'm reminded of Cambridge Analytica; the biggest scandal for me was that what they're doing* is legal, and nobody focused on it. It was all about Zuckerberg's fuck-up.
