I can dash this hope for you: its vaporware. They have been "building" this "car" since 2019, or if you count their previous try, 2006(!!!!!).

At this point, there are a lot of videos about those grifters, but I like the ones from youtuber "Wallstreet millenial": Aptera1 Aptera2 Aptera3 Aptera4

TLDW: They dont have the money or the staff to manufacture it, and no one wants to fund them, so they have been scamming their customers with penny stocks to keep afloat. Even if they somehow magically got funding, their "car" has so many fundamental design flaws and regular unfixed issues that it would be very hard to use as a car.

The only thing that they got going for them is that it looks cool, and it would be nice if something a little bit like that existed. But not from Aptera.

I remember seeing the Aptera prototype in person at the Detroit Auto Show (yes yes I know, its really the North American International Auto Show, but no one calls it that). They talked about it going into production in a couple of years. I was ready to put down money. That was 2008. Here we are not quite 20 years later with the same claim.

I'll be happy if it ever comes out, but I'm not holding my breath.
