My mother bought me some sunglasses with a small built-in camera back in the 2010s. She got them mainly so I could record myself when I was skateboarding, which I thought was a super cool use case for them. But even back then, I felt weird about wearing them in public so they sat in my bedroom unused. Even as a dumb 19 year old, I could see how it was weird and could make people uncomfortable. I don't understand how we've gotten to a point in society where nobody gives even a shred of consideration to other people's personal space and privacy, and why the people wearing Meta Glasses don't feel like complete creeps.
