The whole kids will learn ai like they learn the Internet is a terrible take, on top of all the other terrible takes. The youngest of us right now often have devices that 'just work' and they fall flat if the device doesn't work.

This is why my kid gets hand me downs barely running an os. If they can't fix it, it's still mine.

(Realistically, the pc they use is a 10 year old Windows machine, and the good pc is running Bazzite, so once they yearn for fps, they need to learn how to use it)

    Unfortunately, they'll just ask ChatGPT blindly type in what it tells with sudo rights.

    The days of kids being forced to understand things to be able to fix them so they can play games are sadly long gone 😢.

    I read it even worse than just the didactic aspects. She doesn't think we ever needed to teach children how to be safe and protect themselves online (or now with ai). They just naturally know how not to get mauled by creeps.

    I'm having trouble believing she's a living woman. I understood the weight of it all, as a child, 20 years ago. She's braindead.
