If it's truly a film about a population "rising up" against their oligarch oppressors, I'm not shocked it was poorly advertised. The quicker it flops at the box office, the quicker Hollywood can bury it. I just think most folks who watch a film like this also see the paradox of how Hollywood films like this are essentially sugar pills. Its not like a purposefully orchestrated tax write off flop either, those are bigger budgets (Madam Webb = tax write off plus tactic to keep Spidey IP) Someone may want to bury the film with lack of advertising though. Or, yeah, its just a bad movie they dont want to throw money at propping it.
