As a starting point, the burning of fossil fuels, and to a lesser extent deforestation and release of methane are responsible for the warming in recent decades: Graph of temperature as observed with significant warming, and simulated without added greenhouse gases and other anthropogentic changes, which shows no significant warming

personally, I don't think it's(the situation) salvageable and long term survival plans should be enacted. I appreciate those that are living within their means.

Yeah pretty much everything I've read is indicating that the point of no return has been passed and things are only going to get worse. The good thing is, I'll be dead before the real disaster arrives.
