I played early access 5yr ago, it was pretty amazing even then. Has it changed enough to get back in and check it out?

It feels pretty similar for me. I last played 3-4 years ago. I've barely got to the forest and its the first time I've seen bears, so I guess that's new. There are also some pretty cool animated cut scenes.

The earlier biomes are not that different, though there are some new enemies and a couple of new npcs. Most of the new content is in the biomes that didn't exist yet when early access came out.
