    I think the object pictures is HH30 (HH for Herbig-Haro object.

    What you can see is the proto planetary disk around a newly formed star and the jets of matter ejected by the star.

    The disk will later collapse into the planets orbiting the star and the jets will fade.

    Edit: For these kinds of objects, the stars are often not fully formed, hence they are called proto stars.
