The first publicly released transfer application for Ghislaine Maxwell confirms that federal prison officials formally processed her move to a minimum security Texas camp in July 2025. But the document withholds the central details needed to assess why the convicted sex trafficker qualified for that placement and who approved it.

The transfer remains politically charged because it came days after Maxwell sat for two days of interviews with Todd Blanche, then the deputy attorney general and now the attorney general.
