Had a blowout over the weekend and was restocking my bag, so I thought to share.

I've got:

  • Tire levers
  • Combination allen key
  • $20
  • Tube w cellophane
  • CO2 w cracker

Looking at this list, I should probably add a quick link. They're sitting in my tool chest right next to me. My saddle bag is also right next to me... now would be a great time to do that.

Anyways? How do you all pack?

On my road bike:

  • spare TPU tube
  • TPU patch kit
  • minimal multi tool
  • tyre levers
  • quick link
  • a few zip ties
  • small abus wire lock (combiflex)
  • 20€
  • a few small odds and ends

+ a mini pump mounted to my frame and a small electric pump in my jersey pocket

It sounds a lot, but it all fits in a small saddle bag.

On my gravel bike I have all of the above plus:

  • tyre boots (saved my arse once)
  • latex gloves
  • a pocket sized torque wrench
  • spare battery for power meter and speed sensor

Maybe a bit over the top, but it still fits in a medium sized saddle bag.

I've always been curious about TPU, love that it packs so small. Do you ride them all the time or just after a puncture?

I ride them all the time. I'm completely sold on them and would use them on any bike except a commuter.

The only disadvantages are the price and them holding air a bit worse than standard tubes so you need to pump them up a bit more often.
