Some interesting résidues of French domination: one of the 2 work languages of the UN Secretariat with English, the 5 continental rings of the Olympic symbol (America is one), the coordinated universal time UTC acronym.

Hmm but in french it's "temps universel coordonné", so I'm not sure I'm getting what you mean.

English gives CUT and French gives TUC. One reason UTC was chosen is to be a compromise between the two, instead of favoring one.
