no but you see this is lemmy and the posts MUST include pandering to whatever the current political narrative is, actual human experiences be damned

    I mean I'm probably not against what you would consider "pandering to whatever the current political narrative is". Frankly, I'm sure we're gonna find out in due time that is was preventable via some lesson the aviation industry already learned, and I conjecture that Amazon will be shown to have exacerbated the problems that caused this crash. I just thought it was a bit crass to post this in a meme sub and end it with a cutesy ":3" as if this event was not a tragedy. Like it read to me that the vitriol was being aimed at the people involved in the crash and not Amazon itself, the latter of whom deserves vastly more than vitriol. That's what I'm reacting to. In fact, these deaths will likely be deeply political. These deaths will be treated as acceptable by the bourgeoisie, the cost of maintaining their luxury and hegemony.
