Didn't think so, I just didn't knew the reason. Therefore I asked.

Now I'm annoyed that I got downvoted for asking at all. What's the moral there? Don't ask questions?

    Don't worry about vote score and just block obvious assholes.

    (To be clear, I wasn't trying to be snarky to you specifically. There's just a lot of people in this thread acting like literally the only reason the Mercator projection is used is because of racism.)
