How can publicly-traded companies have true democratic corporate governance? (reddthat.com)

In theory, a "publicly" traded entity can serve the common good. In reality, it more often than not is false. What are your thoughts on making it reality?

I did not know that this is a thing! There are publicly traded benefit corporations like Laureate Education (LAUR).
